Stay-At-Home Update – Into 2014

All good things must come to an end, but a new year brings new games!

As long as you’ll have us, we’ll be continuing to bring you our original content into 2014. We though we’d take the last fleeting days of 2013 to let you know what we have in store for the new year!

Stay-At-Home Gaming has had a couple of guest contributors (and we’d love to see more contributors as well), but as of January 1st, we will have a new staff writer for the site! FailedWell, writer of our recent reviews on the Enhanced Editions of Baldur’s Gate I and II, will be starting the New Year with the first of an ongoing series based on a playthrough of Baldur’s Gate! The first draft is in, and if you loved the game you need to read this.

In fact, those retro reviews, as well as a timely Steam sale, inspired a different retro playthrough: the original Fallout on PC. It’s my first time playing a Fallout game before the third installment, but when it comes to great series of games, it’s best to respect the roots and see where it all comes from. The sale also came with Fallout 2 and Tactics, so two more reviews will follow.

Unfortunately, the holidays didn’t bring a next-gen system (pending any awesome, late presents), but it seems the seventh generation will be around for a while longer. There are still plenty of games we haven’t covered, and if there are any you really want to see, please comment below so we can get it going!

2013 was an amazing year for us, but it means nothing without you, the readers, enjoying what you see and coming back for more. Thank you for reading us, for taking some time to appreciate a smaller site, and know you have our gratitude and our attention.

Happy New Year to you all, and we hope to see you back for 2014!
