Video Game News, Reviews and Reflection! New Articles Released Randomly Every Week!

Week in Review: 2/8/14

What a week it has been!

50,000 hits is a hell of a milestone, but that’s not the only thing we’re happy about. We also had a lot of great reads!
Here are my favorites this week!

Dogs Can’t Carry the Whole Game

We all know the CoD franchise needs some serious innovation to stay on top. But the game still manages to get 9’s and above in ratings. What’s Your Tag, however, gives one of the better reviews I’ve seen on it. No kid gloves and an honest opinion makes this one a great read.

Learning

Gamers have always had to contend with opinions that their hobby causes more harm than good, whether from parents, friends and the occasional angry congressman. Gaming and Education is one of those sites that lets us learn how that’s wrong. Check out this one on game-based learning. Then read all the other articles.

Money IS an Issue

Next-Gen Consoles

Strapped for cash, picking up one of the new consoles has been a non-option. Now, after reading this article from Another Castle, I will be saving my tax return, at least for a while longer. Save your money and read why you should hold off too.

Nostalgia Lane

Batman

When I was a kid, action figures were the best thing you could get. Ghostbusters were my favorite, but Batman was a close third (those Ninja Turtles were too damn cool. The Credible Hulk’s list of Top Five Batman Figures brought back some serious memories, and reminded me I had numbers Five, Four and One on this list. Damn these were weird ones to have. Enjoy the list!
