Video Game News, Reviews and Reflection! New Articles Released Randomly Every Week!

Week in Review: 10/4/14

Time for your weekly dose of blogging with the Week in Review!

It’s been another wonderful week! Little Starscream, my nephew, has lived up to my nickname for him and seems to have colic! In addition to that, Mama has just arrived home after spending the weekend in the hospital. She’s doing good, and thank you for asking!

Enough life catchup! It’s time for some of my favorite articles around the web this week!

Why Won’t They Stop?

As if Hollywood wasn’t already screwing up great franchises with constant reboots and terrible adaptations, they decided to pull a Battleship and take a property with no real story and make it into a blockbuster! Just kidding. This one won’t make money. Just like Battleship!

“Kiri, Kiri, Kiri…”

There’s nothing like Halloween to remind us how much we love horror. Another Castle has a wonderful feature every day of October called “31 Days of Horror,” and it’s always something that deserves a little more attention and a holiday viewing.

And Audition happens to be one of my favorites.

The Age of Netflix

I’ve had a Netflix account for about a year now, and it may be one of the best subscriptions I’ve ever had. When I’m not gaming, I’m watching movies and TV, and in a whole year, I’m always finding new content to watch (read marathon).

Newcomer to the list Gambitcon tells us why Netflix will rule the Future.

A Credible Top 5

See what I did there?

RPGs are a touchy subject for me to rank. One must judge on the quality of the stories, the love of the characters, even the minutia of the systems and menus that power it. Judging a series is that much harder, as with so many entries in some, you might find that a single game can take them out of the running.

This Credible Hulk Top 5 is one that I can’t argue with. The reasons, the selections, even the order has my stamp of loving approval.

Did your favorite make the cut? Go find out!

Thank you for the link back sir! I’m glad you agree. It was a difficult list to write. I spent many days pondering.
