Telltale’s Game of Thrones to Have Six Episodes

GoT

Game of Thrones fans, prepare yourself for the Telltale treatment.

Telltale Games, creators of the critically acclaimed Walking Dead adventure games, announced yesterday that their upcoming series based on the Game of Thrones franchise, would have six full episodes in the first “season,” one more than the standard of five we’ve become accustomed to.

The first episode, titled “Iron from Ice,” is set to feature five family members who will be from the same family, according to Steve Allison, Senior Vice President of Publishing from Telltale Games.

Jon SnowNo word yet on whether characters from the novels and show will be featured, but considering the cameos in the Walking Dead series from Glenn and Hershall, it’s hard to believe you wouldn’t come across characters like Jon Snow or even Ned Stark, assuming the game timeline is early enough in the canon.

“Iron from Ice” has not been given a release date as of this writing.

I’m incredibly excited for this. So far The Wolf Among Us has been my favorite Telltale game by far, but the first season of The Walking Dead wasn’t bad. I just liked the characters and detective gameplay in Wolf Among Us better. I’m hoping Game of Thrones offers more great characters and a change of pace from Walking Dead.
