Gold Mario Amiibo: Walmart Exclusive

Gold MarioA new special edition Amiibo is going straight to Walmart.

The release of Mario Party 10 will have an interesting bonus attached to it. According to a poster recently leaked onto the website Reddit, Walmart has snagged an exclusive deal for its shoppers in the form of a Gold Mario Amiibo.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen this kind of thing. This makes for one of many exclusive retailer deals, as Meta Knight is already a Best Buy exclusive, Rosalina’s figure is only found in Target and Toys ‘R Us is selling an exclusive Lucario.

Mario Amiibo

Inspired by the collectible game Skylanders, Nintendo launched their Amiibo toy line in November of last year. Equipped with RFID chips, the figures can be used to add exclusive content to games such as Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Mario Kart 8 and of course the upcoming Mario Party 10, set to be released March 20th in North America.

What do you think the next exclusive figure should be? Or do you think the figures should be available everywhere? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
