Video Game News, Reviews and Reflection! New Articles Released Randomly Every Week!
Unlike the Final Fantasy VII Remake, this game actually has information about it! Revealed in a trailer at Electronic Arts’ E3 Conference, BioWare has given us the following details: players will again be choosing either a male or female avatar, and not the character present in the opening of the teaser; Shepard, our avatar from the last three games, will definitely not be involved (though it doesn’t rule out cameos); a new, revamped Mako will be featured; and the combat is going to be the focus point. Also, the makers of the trailer pick good Johnny Cash songs.
This is not to say that our hours of N7 adventuring won’t have an effect: there is no word as to whether old save date (or a Dragon Age Keep-like application) might be used to shape this world, which apparently takes place further in the future than the original trilogy. But what we do know is that BioWare, like they have in the past, will certainly be listening to fan feedback and letting it be a voice to the developers to make the game better.
I’m hoping that more comes out about this one soon, but expect a Holiday 2016 release date. Check out the E3 trailer courtesy of the official Mass Effect YouTube channel and stay with us as we continue to cover our favorites from the show!
Letting go of the original crew is going to kill me, but I want to see the world they helped to save. Did the Geth survive? Did Shepard’s message to the future survive? Are there sleeper Reapers? Nothing for sure yet but we’re hopeful! Let us know what you think of the new Mass Effect in the Comments below!
