Terminator Playable in WWE 2K16

Terminator 2He said he’d be back. This was not what we expected.

Pro wrestling fans looking forward to the next game in the 2K series just got a serious new contender for the Championship. According to 2K, the pre-order bonus for WWE 2K16 will be Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator character.

Two playable models will be selectable with the pre-order: the first is based on his original appearance in the 1984 movie, the second will be as he appeared in T2: Judgement Day. While no screenshots currently exist, anyone who has seen the movies will know what to expect.

WWE 2K16

While this seems like a weird move, plenty of video games have featured characters from movie franchises: Soul Caliber IV featured Darth Vader and Yoda, the new Mortal Kombat games introduced Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees and Predator, and Spock in Civilization IV (OK, it was Leonard Nimoy, but imagine Civ IV is a game on a holodeck and you’re good).

The Terminator, a serious, deadly cyborg from the future, fits in nicely with character like the Undertaker, Kane and Triple H, though having a different character in addition, like a T-1000 based on Robert Patrick, would make for a nice addition as well.

Maybe for future DLC?
